The Georgia-LSU game on Saturday was not a typical, SEC-style slugfest, but it was enthralling nonetheless. Following the Bulldogs’ roller-coaster ride of a 44-41 victory over the rival Tigers, CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson spoke to an emotional Mark Richt.
Fighting back tears, Richt explained that he praised the quarterbacks on both sides of the ball: His own Aaron Murray and LSU’s Zach Mettenberger (who had formerly been a Bulldog before being dismissed and taking the long road back to the SEC). The coach also praised the fans, saying, “No one does it better than Georgia.”
After touching upon a few of the same subjects with ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi, Richt already began looking ahead to Tennessee in Week 6.
