Video: Oklahoma seals Sugar Bowl win with a strip-sack touchdown

It wasn’t supposed to end like this for AJ McCarron. The Alabama senior was sacked and stripped for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, effectively sealing a 45-31 Sugar Bowl victory for Oklahoma, and closing the book on McCarron’s Tide career.

On 1st-and-10, deep in Alabama territory, McCarron took the field in an attempt to drive the Crimson Tide down to tie the game. Before he could even get the drive moving, McCarron was nailed from his blindside by Eric Striker. Defensive end Geneo Grissom scooped up the fumble for the icing on the cake, a fat guy touchdown.

On a night where Oklahoma’s defense harassed Alabama’s offensive line and McCarron for four quarters, it’s only fitting that they wrapped up the game.

Oklahoma missed a lot of tackles and still bulldozed ‘bama. LSU squeaks by unranked Iowa, by accident. Can Missouri and Auburn prop up the overblown SEC rep? I doubt it.
BCS rankings are meaningless. How ’bout them Baylor Bears.
