Video: Paul Rhoads goes off on Big 12 officials after Texas loss

Following Iowa State’s heartbreaking loss to Texas, 31-30, Paul Rhoads absolutely went off on the Big 12 officials because of an apparent blown call.

The play that set Rhoads off was a fumble by the Longhorns with less than two minutes to play. Texas running back Johnathan Gray appeared to have been stripped by an Iowa State player.

The refs ruled that it wasn’t a fumble, giving the Longhorns life. Two plays after the non-call, Texas punched it into the end zone for the game-winning score.

You can check out a GIF and photo of the play here.

Coach Rhoads obviously isn’t aware that Brown and Dodds and ESPN/LHN own the Big 12 and are going to protect the brand. Texas has to start winning again, no matter how they do it, to restore value to the investment. Jesse Palmer and David Pollock were offensively biased in their calling of the game last night, again showing how ESPN is protecting its dollars.
