Aloha, Percy Harvin – it means hello and goodbye. In his first game of the season, and only the Seahawks’ third offensive play of the game, Harvin was wrecked by Rafael Bush’s monster hit.
Russell Wilson aired the ball out to the explosive, yet fragile, playmaker. Almost immediately after Harvin dropped the pass, Bush planted his shoulder squarely on the receiver’s face mask. The hit was so violent that it knocked out Harvin’s mouthpiece.
Bush was assessed an unnecessary roughness penalty, allowing Seattle to continue its drive, which resulted in a field goal. Harvin would temporarily leave the game, but returned on the next series.
