During Sunday’s New England-Cleveland game, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski injured his knee on a pass from Tom Brady. After catching the ball, Gronkowski was hit low by Browns safety T.J. Ward. The blow appeared to buckle Gronkowski’s right knee.
The tight end was carted off the field after the injury, and did not return to the game.
He will reportedly undergo an MRI on Monday to assess the extent of the damage.
Gronkowski came into the game with 37 receptions for 560 yards and four touchdowns. Losing him would put a huge wrench in the Patriots’ post-season plans.
