Tyler Ennis cut out Pittsburgh’s heart and served it on a platter Wednesday evening. The Syracuse freshman drained a 35-foot game-winner as the buzzer sounded inside Petersen Events Center.
With only 4.4 seconds remaining and his team trailing by one, Ennis collected an uncontested inbounds pass under the Orange’s basket. He dribbled the length of the court and pulled up with 1.4 seconds on the clock. The shot dropped as the timer hit zero; Syracuse victory, 58-56.
No. 1 lives to see another day, unbeaten record intact.
