The Central Florida Knights owned Tampa mayor Bob Buckhorn during the 2013 college football season. Not only did he lose a bet on the UCF-USF game, but the Knights also went into Happy Valley and beat his alma mater, Penn State.
The wager on the UCF-USF game stated that if the Knights beat the Bulls, Buckhorn would have to wear a UCF jersey and raise its flag over city hall. He did just that, as the winners filmed the humiliation.
South Florida nearly knocked off UCF the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov. 29), losing 23-20.
