Video: Texas Tech talks significance of ‘Lone Survivor’ uniforms

When the Texas Tech Red Raiders play host to the Kansas State Wildcats on Nov. 9, coach Kliff Kingsbury’s squad will be sporting an extremely special set of alternate “Lone Survivor” uniforms.

Under Armour produced the gray and red uniforms in an effort to raise awareness for the Lone Survivor Foundation. Founded in 2010 by retired Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, the foundation “restores, empowers, and renews hope for our wounded service members and their families through health, wellness, and therapeutic support.”

The main feature to the uniforms is the “Never Quit” motto embedded in the helmets, shoulders, pants and stitched on the back of the sample jersey.
