On Thursday, Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs announced that FSU quarterback Jameis Winston would not be charged in relation to the sexual assault case.
Meggs determined that there was not enough evidence to press charges on the Seminoles’ star quarterback. While Winston’s DNA matched the sample taken from the accusers underwear, his wasn’t the only DNA present.
Winston’s attorney, Tim Jansen, reiterated throughout the investigation that his client would be exonerated, and on Thursday he was proven right.
Following is Meggs press conference from Tallahassee just before 2:00 p.m. ET.
Here is the second part of Meggs’ conference.
