While America was tuned into the NFL on Sunday, there was an incredible moment happening on the golf course.
Heading into the final eight holes of the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge, Zach Johnson trailed Tigers Woods by four strokes. Johnson put on a clinic in the eight ensuing holes and one playoff round to top Woods.
The highlight came on hole No. 18 when Johnson sunk a shot for par from the drop zone. Johnson hit into the water just before, putting him in a tough position.
“The next shot was a little bit too dramatic for me. I’m lucky it went in.”
The shot forced a playoff with Woods, which Johnson won after Tiger missed a short putt.
