On the football field, some consider Christian Ponder to be one of the most lucky quarterbacks in the NFL. Minnesota Vikings fans seem to have relatively low standards for their signal-caller as everyone and their grandmother simply expects running back Adrian Peterson to do pretty much everything for the team — and, generally speaking, he does do everything.

Well, the fans across town at the Minnesota Wild playoff game vs. the Chicago Blackhawks were not quite so forgiving.

Ponder was put onto the jumbotron to wish the Wild good luck, but instead of receiving a warm welcome, the quarterback was booed, by his hometown team.

Here are several reactions fans posted to Twitter.

Poor guy. Without Percy Harvin at wide receiver anymore (he was traded to Seattle in the offseason) and Peterson hoping to rush for 2,500 yards in 2013, Ponder may be asked to take even more of a backseat to the star running back.

And that may thrust anti-Ponder sentiment to the forefront in the Twin Cities.
