Coming off an embarrassing 4-8 season in 2013, Gator Nation has been looking for any sign of life. It’s time to cheer up Florida fans, because Will Grier is on his way. If you were wondering whether or not Grier would waffle on his commitment to the Gators after the abysmal season, here’s a Vine that he posted on Wednesday.
Grier is the No. 2 ranked quarterback and No. 34 overall player in the class of 2014, according to ESPN Recruiting Nation.
The Davidson, North Carolina prospect led his team to its third straight state championship this season.
While a three peat is impressive, his numbers are jaw dropping. Grier threw for 599 yards and seven touchdowns on 32-0f-42 passing in the state title game. He also added 57 yards on the ground and another score.
His season totals are even more astounding. Grier finished with a completion percentage of 70 percent, totaling 4,989 passing yards, 77 touchdowns, and just 11 interceptions. On the ground he rushed for 1,251 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Have no fear, Gator Nation, Will Grier is (soon to be) here!
