After being indefinitely suspended for his actions in February, Michigan safety Josh Furman is now facing charges and possible jail time. Furman, a redshirt sophomore, is due in court April 23.
Furman was arrested February 11 and charged with a misdemeanor for domestic violence, battery and assault, and illegal entry. He faces separate charges for illegal entry and domestic violence.
For illegal entry Furman could receive up to 90 days in jail and/or $500 fine, and for domestic violence he is looking at a possible 93 days in jail and/or $500 fine.
Furman’s attorney, Gerry Mason, is optimistic that the end result will be in favor of Josh, telling ESPN ”I think it’ll get cleared up.”
