2012 Alabama Pro Day – Trent Richardson and Mark Barron Update
The Crimson Tide hold their annual Pro Day today, but unfortunately for scouts two of Alabama’s studs will not be in attendance.
Both running back Trent Richardson and safety Mark Barron will miss today’s activities due to surgery.
Richardson is still rehabbing from minor knee surgery, and Barron is recovering from double-hernia surgery. Both players are projected to be the top players taken at their respective positions.
Missing Pro Day should not set them back at all, as both of these players will most likely work out for teams in the near future.
Jimmy Sexton, Richardson’s agent, reported that Trent will be able to run in three weeks. Sexton told NBC:
“He started running full speed this week. He’s close to ready, but it’s not quite there yet. People should have plenty of time to see him and get a good read.”
Scouts will still have plenty to see at this years Pro Day, there are five Bama players projected to be taken in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
