Troy Aikman buys massive Dallas mansion, decides it isn’t good enough

The Big D’s main man, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman, recently upgraded his house game with the purchase of a 10,662 square foot Dallas mansion.

According to, a Dallas real estate blog, the house comes equipped with a whole lot of goodies, including: five bedrooms, five full and four half baths, seven living areas, three stories, wine room on the first floor, elevator, a morning room with fireplace, a covered outdoor living area with outdoor kitchen, separate sitting area off the second floor master, gameroom, study and “her” office,  media room with a very cool concessions bar counter, exercise room, and a three-car garage.

Aikman was even able to get himself a steal with this one, paying $4,250,000 for a house that started on the market at $6,850,000. Not too shabby of a job, Mr. Aikman.

Despite all of the amenities of this monster house, Aikman wasn’t satisfied, so he decided to do a bit of remodeling immediately.

Of course, there is a remodel underway — making the closets bigger, re-surfacing, and I just cannot see Troy living with the leopard carpet on the stairs, can you?
