Dustin Johnson-Alli MacKenzie Affair Rumors Shot Down

On Friday it was reported that Dustin Johnson had been suspended from the PGA Tour for six months after testing positive for cocaine. This is a day after he announced that he’d be taking a leave of absence for personal reasons.

Golf.com broke the news about his suspension, but that wasn’t the only major headline coming from the story. The report states that Johnson also had a sexual relationship with a PGA Tour player’s wife.

Johnson’s conduct has long been a topic of conversation among close observers of the Tour. He is often seen in bars near his home in Jupiter, Fla., and is also known to have had a sexual indiscretion with at least one wife of a PGA Tour player.

FOX Sports golf analyst Robert Lusetich later reported that Johnson had relations with two wives, one of which ruined a marriage.

Immediately people began to speculate on who the possible women could be. Barstool Sports received some information that Alli MacKenzie, ex-wife of Will MacKenzie, was one of the parties involved with Johnson.

Alli was quick to shoot down the rumors on Twitter, however.

For now, let the speculation continue to run rampant.

*UPDATE* Alli also told Busted Coverage that Will and her “were separated before the supposed indiscretion night. It just wasn’t made public.” She went on to say “there were rumors about Dustin and another tour wife, and a nanny of a tour player prior to that. I believe none of it.”

Johnson stepping away from the game for a while took the sports world by storm on a sleepy summer day. During his absence, he and partner Paulina Gretzky would have a baby boy, Tatum. Johnson would return to the PGA tour the following season; he ended up winning the 2015 WGC-Cadillac Tournament at Doral – his first victory since stepping away.

As to the rumors with Alli MacKenzie, nothing further materialized and the issue, at least for the time being, has been swept under the rug.
