Ever since Dwyane Wade entered the league out of Marquette, there haven’t been many summers that didn’t see Wade lead the Miami Heat deep into the playoffs.
But for the first time since 2008, the Heat missed the playoffs this season because LeBron James decided he was homesick and caught the first flight back to Cleveland. Now, while James and the Cavaliers are in the NBA Finals, Wade is is worried about a different kind of final — of the academic nature.
As it turns out, Wade took a four-day executive course at Harvard — yes, the Harvard — in sports and entertainment management.

Wade wasn’t alone in the class though. He was also joined by New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
The Brooklyn Nets’ Mason Plumlee and former NBA veteran Jerry Stackhouse were also in the class. I’d bet any amount of money the notes passed in that class were actually diagrams of plays.
