Johnny Manziel’s rookie year with the Cleveland Browns didn’t go as expected, and his first NFL offseason led to Manziel checking himself into rehab.
Now that he’s out of rehab, Manziel has to worry about Josh McCown taking the starting quarterback position instead of Brian Hoyer, who signed with the Houston Texans this offseason.
All reports have indicated Manziel is finally focusing on football and putting immature shenanigans behind him, but he may still have a few shenanigans left up his sleeve.
Saturday, at the Byron Nelson Classic in Irving, TX., Manziel was harassed by a fan before he eventually threw a water bottle at the 18-year-old heckler, according to Cleveland.com.
Irving police spokesman James McLellan said once Manziel threw the bottle at the fan, one of the quarterback’s friends stepped in before the hotel security got there.
Even though police found no signs of intoxication with Manziel, Colin Cowherd apparently knows something that we don’t.
Expect a Johnny Manziel story from Byron Nelson tourney over next day or two.

There could be much worse things that Manziel could do, but it’s never a good look for an NFL player to throw things at fans. He’s going to get a lot of verbal abuse, so he should get used to it.
Maybe one of these days he’ll learn.
