2012 April Fools’ Day was no joke for Bobby Petrino and a motorcycle ride

Exactly one year ago today, on April Fools’ Day, then-Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino crashed his motorcycle on an empty road. On April 6, and only minutes before a police report was going to expose everything, Petrino disclosed the fact that he was not alone on that bike.

Instead, he had brought Jessica Dorrell, a former All-SEC Hogs volleyball player and his 25-year old mistress.

We just wanted to take a few moments to mark the one-year anniversary of an April Fools’ Day story that was no joke for the University of Arkansas, the Razorbacks athletic department or all of Hogs Nation (not to mention Petrino’s wife and kids).

The season that those fans were forced to watch after Petrino was canned for cause, of course, was exactly that: A joke.
