Top Recruit Tyus Battle Commits To Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines landed a big-time recruit in Tyus Battle on Monday. Evan Daniels, Scout.com’s Director of Basketball Recruiting, reported the news a little after 2:00 p.m. ET.

Battle also sent out the following announcement on Twitter.

Battle is a five-star recruit out of Edison, New Jersey. He is ranked by 247Sports Composite, which uses an industry-wide average, as the No. 4 shooting guard and No. 12 overall player in the nation for 2016. He’s also listed as the No. 1 recruit in the state of New Jersey.

In addition to Michigan, Battle had offers from Duke, Louisville, Syracuse, UConn, and several others, but chose to take his talents to Ann Arbor.
