Currently, Bowden is working on producing a TV show. To do so, he has joined forces with son Tommy Bowden, former Clemson coach from 1999-2008, to work on a travel documentary called “Bobby Bowden Goes To War.” According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Momentum Media is producing the show, which will feature World War II stories, or as BBGTW describes them, “the greatest stories of ‘The Greatest Generation.’”

A tribute to the times

No, it’s not actually Bowden suiting up to fight, but rather him taking a historical trip through some of America’s biggest battles from World War II.Bobby and Tommy, along with their wives, recently made a trip to Belgium, where they visited the towns of Bastogne and Luxembourg. Bowden was just a teenager during the time of World War II, which has left a big imprint on him.

“It really was (emotional) and exciting for the special reasons I have to get over there” said Bowden.

“We met some veterans who were there and talked to them. They took us to places where battles happened. It was very interesting.”

While in Belgium, Bobby and Tommy filmed from different areas in the battle grounds they visited.

“Every day we were there we went out and filmed at different battle grounds,” Bowden said.

“It was snowing and very cold. There are fox holes all over there, it’s unbelievable. Some are half-filled and others are still very deep.”

Following are shots of Bobby Bowden from the show’s official Instagram account. The caption of each photo is written above. Further details regarding when the show will air and on what channel (or service) have not yet been released. We will be waiting patiently to find out, because this series looks awesome. It’s a great thing any time that someone goes on one of these vacations to learn a little more about important events in history. It is up to us to remember all of things that have happened, and seeing it from this guy’s perspective is only going to give us a better angle on these important events.
