I have no shame to admit it. I’m not the best at spelling things. I use spell check like it’s my best friend and have people look over my stuff. I’m not perfect. I’m also not running the Twttier account for a major college football team … or at least one that was a major team a decade ago.
On Tuesday, the Miami Hurricanes football team’s Twitter account sent out a tweet with a quote from one of their players, Darrion Owens. That part was fine … but let’s take a look at the part that someone tweeted out:
Okay, I’ll ask: what the heck is a hearbeat? Hell, autocorrect just changed it twice for me when I was writing this post! And for what it’s worth, this post was from Tuesday … and it’s still up on Saturday!
I’m guessing if you have a hearbeat, you might want to consult a doctor and actually got a HEARTBEAT put in its place.
We won’t even get into the fact that “one team, one HEARTBEAT” has been used by rival Florida State and head coach Jimbo Fisher for years. I guess if you can’t beat them, steal and claim as your own.
