VIDEO: Michigan State Head Coach Brushes Off Question About South Carolina Job

The ink isn’t even dry on the resignation letter from Steve Spurrier down in Columbia, South Carolina and we’re already trying to figure out who will be the next coach for the Gamecocks. One name that is coming up has plenty of ties to the school, but he also has a pretty important job right now.

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio is preparing his Spartans for what has become a tough showdown against in-state rival Michigan this coming week. At the same time, his name has come up at the top of many list for the job down south, in part because he is a graduate of the school where he lettered in football as a defensive back.

It was the first question asked during his Tuesday media presser, and Dantonio got it out of the way rather quickly:

He TECHNICALLY did not say “No”, but for now it seems as if Dantonio is happy in East Lansing, Michigan.
