They say that old rivalries die hard. In the case of Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd, his hatred of one college rival is still continuing into the pros.
The Vikings continued their preseason schedule as they hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday. The Bucs, of course, are led by their new quarterback … former FSU star and Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston. For a former Florida Gator like Floyd, the thought of giving Winston a welcome to the NFL was something that he thought about even in his sleep:
Floyd never got a chance to sack Winston when the two played in college, as the former Gator was drafted following the 2012 season and Jameis didn’t play a down until the 2013 season started.
Winston was sacked twice in the 26-16 loss, with neither one coming at the hands of Floyd.
