Another day, another quarterback competition has come to an end as the LSU Tigers have named their starting quarterback for the 2015 season. And once again, Brandon Harris has come out on top as the man who will take the keys to the offense when the season starts Saturday against McNeese State:
Miles: Brandon Harris “absolutely” will take first snap Saturday. Called it a foregone conclusion.

There is going to be a segment of the LSU fan base that won’t be happy no matter who the starter was (confidence in both Harris and Anthony Jennings hasn’t been too high since last year), but the numbers show Harris as the clear leader:
Harris completed 25-of-42 passes 452 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions in eight appearances; Jennings connected on 111-of-227 throws for 1,611 yards with 11 scores against seven picks. Harris also averaged 6.1 yards a carry with three touchdowns on 26 carries, compared to Jennings’ 2.7 yards per pop and no scores on 108 attempts.
As long as he can hand the ball off to Leonard Fournette, things should be good in Baton Rouge.
