The South Carolina Gamecocks are now figuring out how they are going to play the next four to six weeks without quarterback Connor Mitch. The signal caller was injured Saturday in the team’s loss to Kentucky, going down with a separated shoulder while re-injuring a hip pointer from earlier in the game.
After being released from the hospital following treatment for internal bleeding and an infection caused by the hip pointer, Mitch decided to send a picture of the injury on Snapchat to an unknown follower. Because who doesn’t want to see a giant, gruesome looking bruise on someone’s hip:
Oh, that’s not good.
Perry Orth, a former walk-on for the Gamecocks, will get his first start Saturday on the road at Georgia and will be in that spot for the next couple games while Mitch gets healthy.
