Tailgating Champaign – Illinois Fighting Illini

Where To Be

Visiting fans should arrive early and snag a spot in one of the first come first serve lots on campus. All gameday parking lots on campus are fair game for tailgating. If you are bringing a trailer head to the lot on the southwest corner of the Wright St & St Mary’s Rd intersection. Here you’ll have more space to spread.

Personal tailgating tents and awnings must be 10’x10’ or smaller, and must fit within the boundary of one designated parking space. Tailgating on sidewalks or walkways is prohibited. Personal golf carts are prohibited from tailgating areas. No electrical power will be provided. Please dispose of hot used charcoal in the specified disposal containers located throughout the parking lots.

Illini fans, where are the best locations for a fan to tailgate on gameday?
