Duke Johnson, Miami’s sophomore running back, was injured during the Hurricanes’ contest against the Florida State Seminoles. Johnson got rolled up on after a second half run and hurt his ankle.
It’s been an up-and-down season for Johnson, but he has shown flashes of greatness. In each of his two games against Florida Atlantic and Georgia Tech, he rushed for more than 180 yards. He entered the FSU game coming off a 168-yard, two touchdown effort against Wake Forest.
After being looked at on the sidelines, Johnson was carted to the back for further examination. As of writing, there is no news on the severity of his injury.
At the time he was hurt, Johnson had tallied 23 carries for 97 yards against FSU.
