The Golden State Warriors are going to the Western Conference Finals, and though Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry get all of the love, Draymond Green has been a huge part of the Warriors’ offense and defense.
On the offensive end, he helped balance things out with about 12 points and eight rebounds a game. He was able to play inside when he needed to do so, but he could also step out and stretch the floor with his three-point shooting.
His defensive game has been extremely helpful for the Warriors. Green posted a defensive rating of 97 this year and averaged about two steals and one block per game. He finished runner-up to Kawhi Leonard in the Defensive Player of the Year voting despite getting more first-place votes.
Green can pretty much do it all with his versatility, but that doesn’t stop on the court. In fact, he carries that same mentality into press conferences — apparently.
Check out how he decides he’s going to ask himself a question that he felt should have been asked.
I mean, the guy just has a lot of love for Festus Ezili and felt he should be recognized. You can’t blame Green for looking out for one of his teammates. Not only was his personal Q&A session hilarious — even Curry chuckled at it — but it was an interesting take into who Green is as a person.
Golden State’s success has a lot to do with Green.
