The New York Jets’ starting quarterback saga is worthy of a daytime soap opera.
On Saturday night, Rex Ryan gave the reins to rookie Geno Smith for the first three quarters of the game. Smith’s play was lackluster to say the least, prompting Ryan to hand the ball over to Mark Sanchez in the fourth.
Sanchez went down with a shoulder injury after being tackled and had to leave the game. There is no word yet to how severe the injury is, but there are plenty of questions as to why Sanchez was in a preseason game that late.
Rex Ryan, however, doesn’t have to answer your questions. Watch Ryan’s rather entertaining post-game press conference rant.
